February 145Alive
7th February 2026

Back in December 2025, after spotting the new 145 Alive dates on the Facebook group and the addition of an SSB vertical polarization option, I had a chat with Nigel about taking part. He was happy for us to go ahead, so I signed us up.
Despite a very wet Saturday on 7th February, we made it to the shack, where myself (G7JYF), Pete (M0PLG) and Nigel (M0OQU) shared net control duties throughout the afternoon.
We had a good turnout on the net, with 23 stations checking in. There was lots of good chat, and everyone was able to work the stations they could hear, which all went nicely.
This was my first time operating 2m SSB using a vertical antenna, and it worked better than expected. We decided not to wind the mast up this time, as things were already going well and the weather wasn’t exactly on our side.
Thanks to everyone who joined us on the air, and also to those who popped along to the shack to support the event in person.
